Hoshiarpur- Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Amandeep Kaur said that the second phase (2.0) of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) has been started by the Central Government. The objective of this scheme is to provide pucca houses to those families of economically weaker sections, who do not have their own pucca house yet or who are living in kutcha houses.
He informed that under this scheme, eligible families will be provided financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand to build a new pucca house on their land. Out of this, Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand will be provided by the Central Government and Rs 1 lakh by the State Government. Eligible beneficiaries falling within the limits of Hoshiarpur Municipal Corporation can apply with the required documents in the Municipal Corporation office.
Apart from this, beneficiaries can also apply through the online portal https://pmavmis.gov.in/PMAYMIS2 2024/PmayDefault.aspx. The Municipal Corporation Commissioner said that while applying, the beneficiaries will have to submit documents like copy of Aadhar card of all members, copy of voter card of all family members, current bank account, copy of land registry/assessment and report of Patwari and Tehsildar for property falling within red line, 2 passport size photographs of beneficiary and family, income certificate, proof of regularization of plot if the plot is in unauthorized colony, photo of existing house/plot, affidavit, red copy of laborers (if applicable), educational qualification/employment related information of beneficiary and his family and mobile number linked to Aadhar.
