SAS Nagar, February 14, 2025: While reviewing the performance of revenue officers and sub-divisional magistrates, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain today directed the SDMs to expedite activities related to maps under the ownership scheme to provide ownership rights to residents of Lal Dora area.
She said that the progress related to ownership should be regularly monitored by the sub-divisional magistrates so that the work can be expedited. She also asked to verify the maps handed over to Kharat and Mohali sub-divisions.
After knowing the status of pending mutation and partition cases, the Deputy Commissioner asked the revenue officers and SDMs to settle them on time and settle the cases beyond the time limit on priority basis. She asked to get the jamabandis completed strictly through the revenue field staff and no one would be relieved in case of transfer from one Patwar circle to another till the consignment of jamabandis arrives.
Expressing concern over pending recovery of stamp duty under section 47-A and recovery as per court orders, the Deputy Commissioner said that the recovery should be increased and deposited in the government treasury. The Deputy Commissioner directed the revenue officers not to let the public face any kind of trouble. Sub-registrar offices and tehsil offices should be visited and services will be provided without any delay.
