Korba, April 25 - At least 51 people, including 37 children, fell ill due to food poisoning after a wedding meal in Chhattisgarh's Korba district. All of them were admitted to the Medical College Hospital in Korba and their condition is stable, an official said.
He said that there was a wedding function in Paharipara village under Urga police station limits on Thursday night, after the meal some guests complained of vomiting and diarrhoea. Hospital superintendent Dr. Gopal Kanwar said that the people admitted to the hospital include 14 girls, 23 boys, 11 women and three men.
He said that the condition of all is stable. The police officer said that the exact cause of the food poisoning is not yet known and an investigation is underway.
