Ahmedabad - Air India's Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft carrying 242 passengers (230 passengers, 2 pilots and 10 cabin crew members) crashed minutes after taking off from Ahmedabad airport this afternoon.
The airline said in a statement that AI 171 flight flying from Ahmedabad to London "crashed in an accident". Officials said the plane hit the doctors' hostel of a medical college at 1:30 pm.
