
Haryana Chief Electoral Officer has given instructions to all District Election Officers regarding Special Detailed Re-inspection.
Chandigarh, September 15 - Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Mr. A Srinivas said that the Election Commission of India had organized a meeting of Chief Electoral Officers of all states on September 10 in which it had given instructions to implement Special Detailed Re-inspection (SIR) in the entire country. In this direction, Haryana CEO organized a meeting of all DEOs.

In this direction, Haryana CEO organized a meeting of all DEOs.
Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Mr. A Srinivas asked all District Election Officers regarding Special Detailed Re-inspection that where the posts of BLO are lying vacant in the state, their I-cards should be issued immediately, so that there is no hindrance in the work of the newly created voter list. Apart from this, training should be given to the officers and employees related to SIR.
Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Shri A Srinivas gave these instructions to the District Election Officers and Electoral Registration Officers regarding the Special Detailed Revision here today through video conferencing. He asked the District Election Officer and Electoral Registration Officer regarding the Special Detailed Revision (SIR) to ensure that they follow the instructions issued by the Election Commission of India from time to time regarding the Special Detailed Revision.
*The existing voter list will be matched with the voter list of the year 2002 for the new voter list
He said that the new voter list will be prepared as per the guidelines of the Commission regarding the Special Detailed Revision. The Commission while giving the instructions said that all the BLOs will match the existing voter list of Haryana with the voter list of the year 2002 by October 20, if the name of the voter is registered in both the voter lists then they will not be required to provide any document.
*BLO will fill the enumeration form for the new voter list by visiting the voter's house
Shri A Srinivas while instructing all the DEOs said that the BLO will fill the enumeration form for the new voter list by visiting the house of every voter. For which the voter will be given two copies of the form to fill. Out of which the voter will take one copy and the BLO will take the other copy with him to prepare the new voter list.
The Chief Electoral Officer of Haryana said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, rationalization of the polling station will be done on the basis of the maximum number of voters of 1200, if there are more than 1200 voters, then a new polling station should be built.
He also directed that meetings should be held at regular intervals with the representatives of all the recognized national and state level political parties located in the district and a list of booth level agents should be obtained from all of them.
Apart from this, the printing of the counting form and BLO is to be made available on time. The Chief Electoral Officer said that the final published voter lists of the year 2002 and the year 2024 are available on the website of the department for the convenience of the general public.
The Chief Electoral Officer appealed to all the registered voters of the state, youth who are eligible to become voters and representatives of all political parties to cooperate in the special detailed revision being carried out to prepare an error-free voter list of the state.
