Una, October 2 - Public Works Department (PWD) Secretary Dr Abhishek Jain on Wednesday visited the driving training track and traffic park under construction in Haroli subdivision. This project is being prepared at a cost of Rs 10.24 crore to promote road safety and driving skills. Under this ambitious project, many facilities including waiting area, administrative area, simulator room, workshop, first aid room are being constructed. It will also include control room, cafeteria, guest room, lift and other necessary facilities.
During the inspection, Dr Jain thoroughly inspected various aspects of the project and directed the officials to complete the work in a timely manner. He said that this project would prove to be a milestone in increasing awareness about road safety as well as providing modern driving training to the youth.
Along with this, he also reviewed other development works going on in the district by holding a meeting with the departmental officials.
