
Sardar Gurvinder Singh Bahra Honored on Rayat Bahra Being Conferred Professional University Status
Hoshiarpur- Under the leadership of President and prominent social worker Sanjeev Arora and Chairman J.B. Behal, the Rotary Eye Bank and Corneal Transplantation Society honored Sardar Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of Rayat Bahra Group of Institutes, for Rayat Bahra being granted Professional University status. The felicitation was done by offering sweets and presenting a bouquet of flowers.

The felicitation was done by offering sweets and presenting a bouquet of flowers.
On this occasion, Sardar Gurvinder Singh Bahra stated that this university will be the first in India to include a column related to organ donation in its admission form. Filling this column will be mandatory, but it will depend on the student’s choice whether they wish to give consent or not.
Sardar Bahra further said that there is now a need to educate children in detail about eye donation and organ donation so that they can go back to their homes and raise awareness among their parents, neighbors, friends, and others about organ donation.
On this occasion, Chairman J.B. Behal and President Sanjeev Arora said that it is a matter of pride for the people of Hoshiarpur that the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutes has been granted university status, which has sparked a wave of joy among the residents of the city and Punjab.
Thousands of students studying here are bringing laurels to Hoshiarpur and Rayat Bahra College in India and abroad. Mr. Arora added that the people of Hoshiarpur will benefit the most as their children will be able to study near the city.
They thanked Sardar Bahra, stating that including an organ donation column in the admission form is the greatest act of virtue. On this occasion, Campus Director Chander Mohan, Secretary Veena Chopra, Madan Lal Mahajan, Prof. Daljeet Singh, Jasbir Kanwar, Ashwani Kumar Datta, Krishan Kishore, and others were present.
