
Chairman and members of Punjab Gau Seva Commission visited Cattle Pond Falahi.
Hoshiarpur- Chairman of Punjab Gau Seva Commission Ashok Kumar Singla, while addressing a meeting of officers of various departments at the District Administrative Complex today, gave necessary guidelines for better maintenance and operation of Cattle Pond Falahi (Government Gaushala).

He directed the officers to take every possible step for the welfare of animals, especially to give priority to their nutritional needs and medical facilities. On this occasion, member of Punjab Gau Seva Commission and Chairman of Market Committee Hoshiarpur Jaspal Singh Chechi, member of the Commission Amit Jain, Chairman of Market Committee Mohali Gobinder Mittal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nikas Kumar and SDM Gursimranjit Kaur were also present.
Before the meeting, the Chairman and members of the Commission visited Cattle Pond Falahi (Government Gaushala) and inspected the condition of the animals living there and took stock of their care and facilities. Addressing the meeting, the Chairman discussed the operation of cow shelters, government policies and future plans.
He directed the district administration to make proper use of the revenue received from cow cess. Apart from this, the officers of the concerned departments also presented their views and discussed the necessary improvements in the cow shelters. The Chairman of the Commission appealed to every citizen of the society to play an active role in cow service. He said that to strengthen the cow shelters, the cooperation of the administration as well as the common people is also necessary.
He appealed to the donors and animal lovers to contribute to the cow shelters, so that there is no shortage in the care of the cows. The Punjab Gau Seva Commission is continuously making efforts to improve the cow shelters of the state and ensure proper care of the animals. The Commission is actively working in this direction and will be ready for improvement in the future too.
