Chandigarh: A massive fire broke out in Sarangpur near Dhanas in Chandigarh this morning, in which four shops in the furniture market caught fire. The fire brigade received information about the fire at 6:55 am.
After this, 6 fire brigade vehicles immediately reached the spot from Sector 11, 17, 38 and Industrial Area. After a lot of hard work, the fire brigade personnel controlled the fire within an hour.
Many marble and tile shops were also affected in the fire, but due to the promptness of the fire department, the rest of the shops remained safe. It is a matter of relief that there were no casualties in this incident.
The cause of the fire is not known yet. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of panic among the local people and shopkeepers. The administration has ordered an investigation into the cause of the fire.
