Chandigarh, August 18 - The Haryana Government has taken a big decision in favor of the clerks who went on strike in the year 2023. Now this strike period will be considered as earned leave. Also, neither the salary of the strike period will be deducted nor will this period be considered as an interruption in service.
In a letter issued by Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi, who is the Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department, it has been said that the earned or accumulated earned leave before going on strike will be adjusted first, after which half pay leave will be given.
Even after the deduction of earned leave and half pay leave, if the strike period remains, then the upcoming leave will be approved, with which the future earned leave of the concerned clerks will be adjusted with the account.
The letter states that this exemption is being given only as a one-time special provision and it will not be taken as an example in future. These instructions will be applicable only to certain categories of employees, especially clerks, who participated in that special strike. These instructions will not be applicable in any other case. Accordingly, the salary can be released after verification with the SAS cadre working in the departments.
Instructions have been issued in this regard to all Administrative Secretaries, Department Chairman, all Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Sub-Divisional Officers and Treasury Officers.
