Nawanshahr- Guru Nanak Mission Sewa Society Nawanshahr continues to provide relief material to flood affected families in the flood affected areas of Punjab. According to the information given by the society's chief servant Surjit Singh and other members, during the contact with the social service organizations doing service work in the affected areas of district Gurdaspur, it was found that drinking water, fodder for animals, various pulses, sugar, tea leaves, clothes and some essential items for women are urgently needed as ration materials.

Keeping in mind the demand, three vehicles carrying more than 400 water boxes, 100 quintals of fodder (pickles) for other animals, four quintals of pulses, two quintals of sugar, clothes for women, etc. left for village Shikar Mashian Camp (District Gurdaspur) early this morning where these goods will be delivered to the needy families through tractor trolleys with the support of the famous organization of the area, Ladi Group of Society.
This time, seven members of Guru Nanak Mission Sewa Society left with these relief materials. Apart from this, on the demand of the district administration, goods were also sent in two installments to the needy flood victims at Dhangarpur Dam and Deputy Commissioner Office, Nawanshahr.
The society has decided to continue these services till the situation normalizes. They asked the people of the area to come forward for these services so that they can be helped till the rehabilitation of the needy families. On this occasion, he specially thanked the donors and especially the NRIs who are providing great support to the society to continue these services.
