Girls of sewing center were honored.

Nawanshahr-Girls who passed the sewing examination at the local Shri Ram Sharanam Mandir Lal Chowk were honored with certificates. Giving information, Dr. JD Verma, the main founder of Swami Satyanand Sewing Center, said that last year about 30 girls were taking sewing training in this center under the supervision of sewing teacher Gurvinder Kaur.

Out of which 19 girls gave the examination on 23 March 2025 under the supervision of examiners Sushma and Preeti Arora. The 18 successful girls include Komal Duggal, Neelam, Mamta, Tanu, Pinky, Muskan, Seema, Baljeet, Aarti, Rita, Sangeeta, Anjali, Pooja, Rakhi, Meenesh, Aarti, Divya and Manisha Kumari, out of which Tanu got first place, Pinky and Baljeet got second place, Komal Duggal and Ritu got third place.
All the successful girls were honored with certificates and mementos. Dr. Verma told that for the last 28 years, free sewing education is being provided to needy girls at Swami Satyanand Sewing Centre, so that they can improve the financial condition of their house by working on their own in future and become self-reliant.
He told that after getting training from this centre, many girls are earning their livelihood by starting their own business in the country and abroad. Apart from the members of Shri Ram Sharanam Seva Sanstha, family members of the girls were also present on this occasion.
