Nawanshahr- Assessment Camp - District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar On 20 August 2025, under the leadership of District Education Officer Anita Sharma, an assessment camp for disabled children was organized at BRC Siana Block Balachaur 2 in coordination with the IED component of the Education Department and Alimco.
In this camp, 56 disabled children were listed for providing 81 assistive devices. In which Mr. Surya Pandey, Mr. Akash, Mr. Raj Raghav and Mr. Amarjit Singh were present in the doctor team of Alimco. Dr. Jatin Bhalla, Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Dr. Priyanka were present from the Civil Hospital.
Dr. Ravinder Kumar Physiotherapist assessed the orthopaedic children. IERT Kuldeep Kumar, Ankur Malik, Rakesh Kumar, Sandeep Kumar, Rachna, Sandeep, Anju, Ruhi, Gagandeep Kaur Accountant successfully performed the duty assigned by the department. The assessment camp of disabled children was successfully completed under the supervision of DSE Narinder Kaur and DSET Rajni.
District Education Officer Anita Sharma informed that children can benefit from the facilities provided by the education department only when they take admission in a government school. Disabled children are an integral part of our society. The government and the education department are making great efforts to improve the living standards of these children and to ensure the access of disabled children to schools.
