
BSP Punjab President Karimpuri visited flood affected areas.
Hoshiarpur- Bahujan Samaj Party Punjab President Dr. Avtar Singh Karimpuri, former member of Rajya Sabha, along with the BSP team, visited the flood affected areas in Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur and Amritsar, assessed the flood devastation and met the victims to listen to their problems and assigned duties for all kinds of cooperation to the party leadership.

On this occasion, the party's State General Secretary Contractor Bhagwan Das Sidhu, Maninder Singh Sherpuri Secretary Punjab, besides the leadership of the districts and Vidhan Sabha Tanda, Dasuha constituencies were also present. On this occasion, Karimpuri ordered the BSP Punjab leadership to help the flood victims.
On this occasion, Karimpuri said that the countrymen are facing the consequences of the big mistakes of the political parties that ruled India for 78 years after its independence.
He said that even after eight decades of independence, the governments that ruled from time to time could not build permanent dams, which are being built under the influence of floods to save the rivers from breaking, the governments should have done this work before the floods. He said that today we are facing all the terrible consequences of playing with the laws of nature, indiscriminate deforestation.
Karimpuri indicated to the BSP Punjab leadership that now the need of the hour is only to take the people trapped in the floods to safe places, to provide them with the necessary help. He also appealed to the central government to announce compensation for the people affected by the floods and immediately release the compensation amount as per the need.
Karimpuri said that the crops of the farmers have been destroyed due to the floods and the houses of the laborers working in the fields have also been destroyed. The government should also announce special compensation amount for the laborers so that life can come back on track. He appreciated the religious and social organizations providing langar, medicines and other services in the flood-affected areas.
