
ADC cancels license of Rudraksh firm
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 13th February 2025: In exercise of powers conferred under Section 6 (1) (e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, Additional District Magistrate Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke has cancelled the license of the firm Rudraksh.
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 13th February 2025: In exercise of powers conferred under Section 6 (1) (e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, Additional District Magistrate Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke has cancelled the license of the firm Rudraksh.
The Additional District Magistrate informed that the firm, Rudraksh S.C.O. No. 16, Top Floor, Phase-1, Mohali, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, owner Mr. Rakesh Rikhi (Proprietor) son of Desraj Rikhi, resident of House No. HIC-65, Sector-48-C, Mohali, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, was issued a license No. 14/MC-2 dated 25.03.2015 for consultancy work. This license has been renewed up to 24.03.2025.
He further informed that as per the office records, the license of the firm Rudraksh was earlier suspended twice by this office vide order No. 974/IC dated 17.08.2021 and order No. 1875 dated 29.06.2022 due to violation of the Act/Rules and complaints received against the firm. After which, on the basis of the licensee's request, his license was restored on the condition that no complaints would be received against his firm in the future, but despite this, there was no improvement in the work of the applicant and complaints against his firm continued to be received in this office.
He said that due to cases being registered against the firm, non-sending of monthly reports and non-reply despite several notices being issued to the firm, complaints received against the firm, notices were issued to the licensee/firm vide letter no. 7067-68/IC dated 04.12.2024 and letter no. 26-27/IC dated 07.01.2025, seeking clarification. But despite the lapse of a long time, no reply was received.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner informed that based on the above mentioned situation regarding the firm, due to the licensee not submitting monthly report as per the Act/Rules and Advisory, license being suspended twice, complaints received against the firm for not giving reply/clarification to the notice, cases being registered against the firm and non-compliance of the clauses of the license, the firm and the licensee have committed violation under the provisions of Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012.
Therefore, in view of the above facts, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke, exercising the powers vested in him under the provisions of Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, has cancelled/revoked the license No. 14/MC-2 dated 25.03.2015 issued to the firm Rudraks with immediate effect.
In addition, as per the Act/Rules, if in future any complaint etc. is received against the said company/firm/partnership or its licensees/directors/partners of the firm, then the said company/director/partner/licensee will be responsible in every respect for it and will also be responsible for compensating for it.
