
Electoral literacy workshops will start in all educational institutions of the district.
Una, May 15- Electoral literacy workshop activities are being started in all government and private educational institutions of Una district, schools, colleges, ITI. The objective of this initiative is to educate and make students aware of the election process of India, democratic rights and the importance of voting.
Una, May 15- Electoral literacy workshop activities are being started in all government and private educational institutions of Una district, schools, colleges, ITI. The objective of this initiative is to educate and make students aware of the election process of India, democratic rights and the importance of voting.
District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal informed that these electoral literacy workshops will be organized regularly twice a month in every educational institution, which will focus on topics like election process, democratic participation and importance of voting.
These will include activities like election related quiz competitions, essay and speech competitions (on democracy and voting), mock poll sessions (practice of the actual process of voting), poster/slogan writing etc. awareness programs through which students will not only get practical knowledge of the electoral process but will also develop a sense of responsibility towards democratic values.
The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the principals, teachers and students of all the educational institutions of the district to participate enthusiastically in this initiative of the Election Commission of India and cooperate in making Una district an ideal model in the field of electoral literacy and democratic awareness.
