Patiala, October 2 - A six-day short term course on 'Environmental Issues and Disaster Management' conducted by Malviya Mission Teachers Training Center at Punjabi University has been completed.
Director Dr. Raman Maini said that this program organized under the guidelines of UGC MHRD was conducted online from 24th September to 1st October. District Information Officer Punjab Dr Shine Kamal attended the farewell session as the chief guest. During his address, he emphasized that effective disaster management should include preparedness to reduce environmental degradation.
By promoting eco-friendly practices and restoring natural habitats, disaster risks can be reduced, he said. Teachers from different universities from different states across the country participated in this program. Program Coordinator Dr. Onkar Singh delivered the vote of thanks.
