Hoshiarpur - District Magistrate Komal Mittal using the powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974) during the 'NEET (UG)-2024' examination to be held on 5th May 2024, in various districts of Hoshiarpur. Prohibition of gathering of 5 or more persons within a radius of 100 meters around the boundaries of various examination centers has been issued.

He said that it has been observed that during the examination/test, the relatives of the examinees and other persons etc. gather around the examination centers, due to which the smooth conduct of the examination may be disrupted and traffic problems may also arise. can Therefore, it becomes necessary to impose Section 144 of CrPC within 100 meters radius of the examination centers to conduct the examinations in a peaceful and orderly manner. These orders will remain in force from 5 May 2024 to 5 May 2024.
