On this occasion, Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Gurmail Singh said that maintenance of surface cedar stubble and sowing of wheat is done with the lowest cost and low horse power tractors are also effective in this. Agriculture Officer Dr. Subhakaran Singh said that through village level camp, the farmers are being made aware of the importance of maintaining crop residues with machines.
Dr. Jagdeep Singh BTM said that under the Atma scheme, a demonstration plot was set up with a surface seeder, the yield of which is estimated to be equal to that of wheat sown by other methods, and harvesting experience will also be done.
On this occasion, Agriculture Extension Officer Dr. Sucha Singh said that farmer Dhyan Singh has been practicing organic farming for a long time with the support of the Department of Agriculture. More farmers were also present on this occasion.
