Surat Singh Kalsi became the President of Ramgarhia Sabha

SAS Nagar, April 15 - Surat Singh Kalsi has been elected as the President of Lok Kalyan Kendra Ramgarhia Sabha (Razi) SAS Nagar. The decision regarding this was taken during the general body meeting of the Sabha held at Maharaja Jassa Singh Ramgarhia Hall. The meeting was chaired by S. Karam Singh Babra.

SAS Nagar, April 15 - Surat Singh Kalsi has been elected as the President of Lok Kalyan Kendra Ramgarhia Sabha (Razi) SAS Nagar. The decision regarding this was taken during the general body meeting of the Sabha held at Maharaja Jassa Singh Ramgarhia Hall. The meeting was chaired by S. Karam Singh Babra.

Mr. Babra said that the election board was established unanimously in the meeting, in which Mr. Jaspal Singh Virk was elected as the chairman, Mr. Pavitar Singh Virdi and Mr. Paramjit Singh Khural were elected as members. He said that the election board called for names for the post of president and after the names received, a fair election was conducted, in which Mr. Surat Singh Kalsi was elected president for the next 2 years.

On this occasion, Punjab Minister Lal Jit Bhullar's comment about the Ramgarhia community was condemned. General Secretary of the Sabha S. Gurcharan Singh Nanda said that during the general session, Aam Aadmi Party candidate for the Lok Sabha elections and Minister of Punjab Government Laljit Bhullar strongly condemned the caste-indicative word used against the Ramgarhia community and the goldsmith community. During the meeting, it was said that Minister Laljit Bhullar should apologize to the entire society for his comments.

A resolution was passed in the meeting that such a person should not be voted in the Lok Sabha elections. On this occasion, besides others, Mr. Darshan Singh Kalsi, Mr. Jaswant Singh Bhullar, Mr. Ajit Singh Ranauta, Dr. Satwinder Singh Bhamra, Mr. Manjit Singh Mann, Mr. Pardeep Singh Bharaj, Mr. Pavitar Singh Virdi, Mr. Baldev Singh Kalsi, Mr. Surat Singh Kalsi, Mr. Ravinder Singh Nagi, Mr. Narendra Singh Sandhu and a large number of members were present.
