SAS Nagar, April 10 - The Panchayati Raj Pensioners Union Punjab staged a dharna in front of the gate of the head office of the Director Panchayat Department Punjab at Vikas Bhawan Mohali to fulfill their long-pending very legitimate demands, in which Panchayat Samitis/Zilla Parishads A large number of pensioners participated.

On this occasion, the speakers expressed their anger towards the officials of the department and expressed their sorrow that the related officials of the department are adopting a step-motherly attitude towards these pensioners. The speakers said that the department has implemented the report of the 6th Pay Commission on the employees of Panchayat Committees/Zilla Parishads from July 21, but the pensioners are being harassed for three years.

Secretary of the organization Jagir Singh Dhillon said that meanwhile the delegation of the organization met with the director of the department Mr. Amit Kumar at his office during which the director told the delegation that he is going on duty for the Lok Sabha elections for a month and After returning from election duty, he will try to resolve the demands of the pensioners with special attention.
