Nawanshahr- Today, on the occasion of Martyrdom Day of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, officers and employees under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Avneet Kaur at the District Administrative Complex paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country and nation during the freedom struggle by observing two minutes silence.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Avneet Kaur said that it is because of the sacrifices of the patriots who sacrificed their lives for the freedom struggle of the country that we are enjoying freedom today. She said that to make the dreams of the martyrs come true, we need to discharge our duties responsibly. She said that the patriots who sacrificed their lives for the country had dreamt of building a healthy India, which every citizen should strive to fulfill.
On this occasion, District Development and Panchayat Officer Nidhi Sinha, Superintendent Grade-1 Harvinder Singh, Superintendent Grade-2 Bahadur Singh, PA to DC Jasbir Singh, District Nazar Harpal Singh, M.A. Apart from Sham Lal, officers and employees from various branches of the Deputy Commissioner's office were present.
