Nawanshahr - The students of NCC and NSS units of Sikh National College Charan Kanwal Banga were given a visit to the Shaheed Bhagat Singh memorial monument built at his native village Khatkar Kalan on the occasion of martyrdom day of Shaheed-e-Azam S Bhagat Singh. . While sending off the students, the principal of the college Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder said that the whole life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh is full of high ideals from which every youth should take inspiration. On reaching the monument, the students worshiped the statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. On this occasion, NCC Under the leadership of in-charge Lt. Dr. Gurvinder Singh and NSS in-charge Prof. Vipan and Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur, the students were also shown the ancestral home of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. On this occasion, the teachers also provided historical information to the students including the life and philosophy of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Dr. Davinder Kaur, Manmant Singh Librarian, Prof. Charanjit Kumar, Prof. Gurpreet Singh etc. were also present on this occasion.
