
MLA Kulwant Singh raised the issue of giving government land to Max Hospital in the Vidhan Sabha
SAS Nagar, Mohali, March 5 - During the ongoing budget session in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, the MLA of Halka Mohali, S. Kulwant Singh, raised the issue of giving government land to Max Hospital. S. Kulwant Singh asked a question in the Vidhan Sabha that where has the 138 crore rupees received by the Punjab government from Max Hospital been spent? Expressing doubt, he asked whether the poor people are getting facilities with the amount of crores received by the Punjab government from the hospital.
SAS Nagar, Mohali, March 5 - During the ongoing budget session in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, the MLA of Halka Mohali, S. Kulwant Singh, raised the issue of giving government land to Max Hospital. S. Kulwant Singh asked a question in the Vidhan Sabha that where has the 138 crore rupees received by the Punjab government from Max Hospital been spent? Expressing doubt, he asked whether the poor people are getting facilities with the amount of crores received by the Punjab government from the hospital.
MLA S. Kulwant Singh asked a question to Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh that the Punjab government had given a part of the land of the government hospital to Max Hospital Phase 6 SAS Nagar for the construction of the hospital on certain conditions. As after the operation of this hospital, a part of the total amount received by this hospital from patients or other sources was given to the government on the basis of giving it. Are all conditions being fulfilled by Max Hospital?
He asked if according to the conditions, the amount due by this hospital is being deposited with the Punjab government. If deposited, how much money has been received by the government so far and is that money being spent on free treatment and other facilities for poor people or is this money being used elsewhere. Requested Punjab Health Minister to share details about this.
Answering the question of MLA Kulwant Singh, Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that a committee has been formed under Principal and Health Welfare regarding the use of this money. This money has been used for the repair of government hospitals, medicines, pending electricity bills of the hospital, out of which 13 crore 24 lakh expenses have been paid.
The Health Minister said that in other places of Punjab, expenses are spent on hospital construction, repairs, medicines. Along with this, the money goes wherever there is a need, including health units, hospitals in Mohali He said that full details regarding this will be provided to MLA S. Kulwant Singh He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is working with full transparency and is committed to uplifting the health sector.
