District Language Officer Dr. Jaswant Roy honored with 'Rag Sahitya Award'

Hoshiarpur - Dr. Jaswant Roy serving as Research Officer-cum-District Language Officer at Language Department Punjab, District Language Office Hoshiarpur by Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal was rewarded by Inderjit Singh Purewal and Kafla Rag for his dedication to the service of mother tongue Punjabi. District administration congratulated on receiving 'Rag Sahitya Award'.

District administration congratulated on receiving 'Rag Sahitya Award'.
This award includes a cash amount of eleven thousand rupees, a certificate and a flower. Dr. Jaswant Roy is engaged in serving the Punjabi language with full commitment and dedication. After receiving education up to Ph.D., he has done remarkable work on Punjabi folk tales. He has also done major work in Ghadar movement, Adi Dharma movement, Ramasamy Periyar and folklore. So far he has published 12 books in Punjabi mother tongue. In return for his contribution, he has been awarded the State Award by the Education Department, the Constitution Award by the Governor of Punjab and many social and literary organizations.
The Deputy Commissioner said that in the future, Dr. Jaswant Roy is expected to write more good works in the service of Punjabi mother tongue. At this time, Chairman Nagar Reform Trust Harmeet Singh Aulakh also congratulated Dr. Jaswant Ray for the Raga Sahitya award.
