Garhshankar - March 19 - Under the Punjab Pay Scale Restoration United Front Campaign, a meeting was held in Hoshiarpur district under the leadership of State Convenor Sandeep Singh Gill and Balkar Singh Maghania. A large number of members of Master Cadre 4161 Teachers Union participated in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Sandeep Singh said that after the Punjab government rejected the SLP in the Supreme Court in the Saurabh Sharma case, the Front also opposed the government's policy of changing the rules of all departments and said that what the government is doing shows that the government is not in favor of giving Punjab's pay scale.
Where the government, which raised its voice for the rights of the employees before coming to power, is not ready to follow the orders of the Honorable Supreme Court today. Due to which there is anger among the employees of various departments. The government should learn from the defeat in the Delhi elections that if the demands of the employees of Punjab are not resolved, then the same situation will happen in the upcoming Punjab elections.
The Morcha has decided that if the government does not implement the Punjab Pay Scale for all the employees of Punjab in the Saurabh Sharma case, then the government will be opposed everywhere. In today's meeting, a call was given to mobilize to surround the Chief Minister's Sangrur residence on March 23 and to participate in as many meetings as possible.
Addressing the meeting on this occasion, Gurjit Kaur, leader of 4161 Teachers Union, also demanded that special opportunities for transfers should be given to 4161 teachers in the new session as these teachers are forced to work 200-250 kilometers away despite many posts being vacant in their native districts.
