Una, February 7 - Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal on Wednesday conducted a surprise inspection of the Indian Food Supply warehouse and Himachal Pradesh Civil Supply warehouse located in Jalgran. During this, he inspected the food items like pulses, rice, gram pulses, oil, salt etc. in the warehouse. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed DFSC to ensure providing quality food items to the consumers at the rates fixed by the government.
Una, February 7 - Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal on Wednesday conducted a surprise inspection of the Indian Food Supply warehouse and Himachal Pradesh Civil Supply warehouse located in Jalgran. During this, he inspected the food items like pulses, rice, gram pulses, oil, salt etc. in the warehouse. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed DFSC to ensure providing quality food items to the consumers at the rates fixed by the government.
After this, Jatin Lal also inspected fair price shops in Jalgran Tabba, Dehlan and Basdehra. During inspection, fair price shops located in Dehlan and Basdehra were found closed. Taking strong cognizance of this, the Deputy Commissioner directed DFSC to take appropriate action. He said that all the fair price shops in the district should remain open as per the time table. If for any reason the depot holder closes his shop and leaves, it will be mandatory for him to inform the concerned inspector or district controller in this regard. He inspected the fair price shop in Jalgran and took information about the facilities provided to the consumers at the fair price shop. The Deputy Commissioner took information about the distribution of food stock through POS machine.
He instructed the depot holders to provide all the facilities to the consumers through fair price shops. He said that it should be ensured to provide better quality food items to the consumers on time.
Sub tehsil Mehatpur-Basdehra was also inspected.
The Deputy Commissioner also inspected Sub Tehsil Mehatpur-Basdehra and gave instructions to quickly dispose of the pending works in the Tehsil. Apart from this, he also asked to correct the revenue records.
District Controller Food Supply and Consumer Affairs Rajeev Sharma was also present during the inspection.
