SAS Nagar, January 29 - FNI (Contractorj) Mazdoor Ekta Union of Freudenberg knock company Basma staged a dharna outside the office of Labor Commissioner Punjab located in local phase 10. And slogans were raised against the company management and the labor department of the Punjab government.

Speaking on this occasion, Vice President of Punjab ATK Shri Vinod Chugh, Comrade Devi Dayal Chandigarh, Finance Secretary of Punjab ATK Mahinder Pal Singh, Kul Hind Sabha Mohali President Jaspal Singh Dapar, Prince Sharma General Secretary, Kamaldeep Saini President said that in village Basma Long-term workers in the Freudenberg Knock Co. are not confirmed While in the company, regular nature work was done by workers on machines But the workers are shown by the management to the contractors in the papers.

The speakers said that many requests were made by the workers to the management in this regard That they should be confirmed and made to work according to the licenses issued by the Labor Department, but neither the company management nor the Labor Department gave them any justice.

The speakers said that the workers had registered a union of their own and given a demand letter to the owners of the company two years ago and demanded them to confirm it. But instead of securing the workers, efforts are being made by the company management to break the union and there is a general violation of the labor laws in the company.

The speakers said that the union had also given a complaint to the Labor Commissioner Mohali in this regard, but no legal action has been taken by the Labor Commissioner Punjab so far. They alleged that instead of issuing a challan against the company management by the Labor Commissioner Punjab, the matter has been referred to the Labor Court Mohali.

He said that the factory is being closed from Basma without the permission of the government by the management of the company and the machines have been stopped. He said that in the meantime the officials of Labor Department and Industries Department are helping the company managers. He said that a new plant has been set up at Morinda by the company management and the government is being misled on the pretext of shifting the Basma plant while the company management wants to close the Basma plant and send all the machines from here to Chennai.

On this occasion, the union leaders also gave a demand letter to the labor commissioner and demanded that justice be given to them and appropriate action be taken against those who violate the labor laws.
