
Patiala Locomotive Works celebrated the 75th Republic Day with enthusiasm
Patiala, January 27 - Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW) celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Pramod Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer unfurled the National Tricolor and observed and saluted a contingent of Railway Protection Force in the presence of PLW officials, staff and their families. Presented by the students of KV 2 and the cultural team of PLW Enthralling cultural program added to the festive atmosphere.
Patiala, January 27 - Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW) celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Pramod Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer unfurled the National Tricolor and observed and saluted a contingent of Railway Protection Force in the presence of PLW officials, staff and their families. Presented by the students of KV 2 and the cultural team of PLW Enthralling cultural program added to the festive atmosphere. Mr. Pramod Kumar and Mrs. Radha Raghav, President PLW Women's Welfare Organization distributed sweets to RPF as well as blankets to over 100 dedicated helpers. In his address Shri Pramod Kumar highlighted the remarkable and honorable achievements of Patiala Locomotive Works till December 2023. He said that PLW has performed brilliantly achieving a production value of Rs 2180 crore in just nine months. Apart from this, scrap worth 16.35 crores was sold during the same period.
During the last year, till December 2023, PLW produced 56 WAP7 locomotives, 82 WAG9HC electric locomotives, 44 DECTs, 109 motorized bogies, motorized wheel sets and 57 Hitachi traction motors. Mr. Pramod Kumar congratulated all the PLW staff on this occasion urging the staff to perform their duties with commitment and sense of responsibility.
