Punjab Education Department Implements National Education Policy 2020 at Grassroots Level in All Schools of the State

Hoshiarpur- Under the aegis of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Punjab, and with the collaboration of the NGO "Slam Out Loud," a series of seminars were successfully organized under "Project Awaaz" to promote fine arts in the schools of Hoshiarpur district. The initiative aimed to update all Art and Craft teachers serving in the district’s schools to meet modern teaching and learning techniques and contemporary needs.

Hoshiarpur- Under the aegis of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Punjab, and with the collaboration of the NGO "Slam Out Loud," a series of seminars were successfully organized under "Project Awaaz" to promote fine arts in the schools of Hoshiarpur district. The initiative aimed to update all Art and Craft teachers serving in the district’s schools to meet modern teaching and learning techniques and contemporary needs. 
These seminars were conducted under the guidance of District Education Officer Mrs. Lalita Arora and DIET Principal Mr. Varinder Kumar at Government Senior Secondary School (Girls), Railway Mandi, Hoshiarpur, in three batches of two days each on 21-22, 23-24, and 29-30.
The seminars were led by District Art Mentor/Resource Persons and art subject experts Mr. Jatinder Saini, Mr. Yogeshwar Salaria, and Mr. Tehil Singh, who underwent specialized training in Chandigarh designed by Slam Out Loud and SCERT for the art subject. 
They trained all Art teachers of the district to promote the art subject, identify artistic interests, skills, and talents in students, and provide them with proper guidance. The training followed a specialized curriculum to prepare talented, proficient, and high-caliber students to meet the nation’s future needs while fostering enthusiasm, interest, and creative curiosity in children toward the art subject.
Principal Mr. Rajan Arora ensured the seminars were meaningful and successful by making appropriate arrangements and providing all necessary facilities while hosting the event. Former Deputy DEO Dr. Darshan Singh, an art expert, participated as the chief guest and provided valuable insights to all Art teachers of the district on the nuances of art and its effective application to meet contemporary needs. 
At the conclusion of the seminars, an exhibition of outstanding artworks created by the Art teachers was organized. Teachers with exceptional performances were honored with certificates by District Education Officer Mrs. Lalita Arora, who commended their efforts, encouraged them to perform even better in the future, and assured them of all possible support for achieving positive outcomes.
