Garhshankar: April 21: For the past one and a half decades, prominent social worker Sudhir Kuar Chadha, son of late Lala Ved Prakash Chadha, a resident of village Kitna in Garhshankar tehsil, has been running many public welfare schemes in his area. 
On April 18 and 19, a grand kirtan and bhandare was organized by his family in the temple of Siddh Shri Baba Block Nath Ji. Similarly, educational materials and school bags were distributed to about 150 students in Shaheed Sarwan Das Government Middle School of the village today. He also promised to pave the badminton ground in the school and provide other necessary materials. 
On this occasion, Sudhir Kumar Chadha and his younger brother Pradeep Kumar Chadha also honored the school teachers with wrist watches. The school children also presented a colorful program which was thoroughly enjoyed by the large number of spectators present. 
A large number of dignitaries from the area were present on this occasion, including Vijay Kumar 'Soni', Sham Lal Arora, Ajay Kumar Sethi, Arjun Sharma, Sudesh Agarwal, Somnath Jaiprakash, Surinder Singh Khalsa, Parminder Singh, Gurdial Singh and Kamaljit Singh Numbardar.
