Mahilpur - Mahilpur's Eminent Principal, Bal Krishna Bali Retd (Government Senior Secondary School Boys Mahilpur) passed away on January 10 after prolonged illness. He is survived by his wife Rajinder Kaur retired BPEO, son Dr. Rajneet Singh, daughter-in-law Dr. Rupinder Kaur and granddaughter Aira.
His last rites were performed yesterday in Mahilpur. Apart from family members, representatives of literary, social, cultural, educational, sports and religious organizations participated in the occasion. 50 footballs were distributed by the family in his memory. He said that it was Principal Bali's last wish that no ceremony be held after his cremation. On this occasion, international writer and journalist S Ashok Bhaura said that many people have taken inspiration from his life and have achieved higher goals. At the last moment, former MP Avtar Singh Karimpuri, Pirthi Chand, Hardiyal, Satpal Sarpanch Moranwali, Principal Hermanoj, Prof. Baldev Singh, Lecturer Pradeep, Krishnajit Rao Kandowal, Baljinder Mann, Master Baninder Singh, Davinder Singh, Amarjit Singh, Gurnam Singh, Principal Mahendra Pal Sharma, Bagga Singh Artist and Bandhana Singh were present in large numbers including his students and love ones.
