
DC issued guidelines for security arrangements for the New Year fair in Mata Chintpurni.
Una, December 31 - Chhinnamastika Dham Mata Chintpurni New Year Fair is being celebrated from December 31, 2023 to January 1, 2024. District Magistrate Una Raghav Sharma used the powers vested under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to ensure the safety, health and public peace of the crowd of devotees gathered in large numbers during this two-day fair as well as to maintain law and order.
Una, December 31 - Chhinnamastika Dham Mata Chintpurni New Year Fair is being celebrated from December 31, 2023 to January 1, 2024. District Magistrate Una Raghav Sharma used the powers vested under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to ensure the safety, health and public peace of the crowd of devotees gathered in large numbers during this two-day fair as well as to maintain law and order. Necessary orders have been issued while doing so.
Through these orders, the District Magistrate said that there will be a complete ban on carrying firearms in the district by any person except the law and order personnel deployed during the fair. Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma said that to prevent noise pollution during the New Year fair, there will be a complete ban on the use of loudspeakers by others except the temple trust. Apart from this, there will be a complete ban on bringing brass bands, drums, long tongs etc. If any person brings these items with him, he will have to deposit them at the barrier established by the police. Also, there will be a complete ban on the use of polythene during this period.
The District Magistrate said that there will be a ban on setting up langar within a radius of 300 meters on the roadside and in the open. He said that langar can be set up only with the permission of the administration and setting up langar on the roadside will also be banned. Apart from this, there will be a complete ban on bursting of firecrackers. He said that it will be mandatory to register the devotees coming to Chintpurni during the fair period.
