During this event conducted under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, the children of various winning districts were honored by the Child Welfare Council. The function was started by SDM Hoshiarpur Preetinder Singh Bains, Chairperson of Child Welfare Council Punjab Prajakta Awadh Neelkanth and Secretary Dr Pritam Sandhu jointly lighting the candle.
Secretary District Red Cross Society Mangesh Sood was also present with him on this occasion. Chief guest SDM Preetinder Singh Bains said that such competitions teach us to move forward in life through struggle. He said that such competitions create a sense of competition in children. He told the students that whether it is education, art or sports, they should participate in as many competitions as possible. He gave a message to the students to protect themselves from drugs and to make others aware of this deadly disease. On this occasion, Chairperson of Child Welfare Council Punjab Prajakta Awadh Neelkanth said that every year the council organizes a children's fair in different districts, in which different districts of the state participate. This time, this state-level children's fair was organized in Hoshiarpur, in which children from all the districts of the state participated enthusiastically.
He said that the Child Welfare Council conducts activities related to the welfare of children, including evening classes, crèche centers, guide help lines, art workshops, hobby classes, classes for competitive examinations. He said that in today's state level competition, the group stood first in Jalandhar, Faridkot second and Hoshiarpur third in folk song. Faridkot stood first, Gurdaspur second and Hoshiarpur third in folk dance Sammi. Guneet Sharma of Barnala stood first, Vanshika of Hoshiarpur stood second and Harleen of Faridkot stood third in the poetry singing competition.
