Dr. Aulakh said that he conducted a sting operation on the basis of secret information under which a secret raid was conducted by the team of the Health Department Barnala and the accused was caught red-handed while doing the test at a house in Chaura village of Patiala city. An abortion device and a large quantity of drugs were recovered from the spot. He further said that a fake pregnant patient was sent to this man by the team of the health department to get tested, he had taken twenty five thousand rupees in cash for doing the test. As soon as the person started testing at home, the health department team caught the person red-handed.
  A woman was also arrested by the police for illegally performing abortions at her home. He said that a case has been registered by the health department under the PC PNDT Act.
