SAS Nagar, December 2 - Sant Ishar Singh Public School, Sector 70 SAS Nagar (Mohali) annual prize distribution function 'Udaan 2023' was celebrated in the school campus during which the students of different classes displayed impressive colors. A cultural program was presented which was thoroughly enjoyed by the students of the school, their parents and other guests.

The event was started by lighting the lamp. Sartaj Singh Gill Advocate, Principal of the school welcomed the guests and the parents of the children and shed light on the future plans of the school. After this, the school word was presented by the students and the cultural program was started by wearing 'Ganesh Bandana'.

On this occasion, the young children of nursery and KG classes presented a group dance 'Welcome song' wearing colorful costumes. The children of the first and second classes performed a dance on the Punjabi song 'Chhuna Hai Asam' and 'Sohanya De Rang Dekh Ley'. On this occasion, an English play based on the bad effects of social media was also presented by the students.

Punjabi folk dances 'Jindua' and 'Haryanvi Naach' were also popular. Middle class children added to the grandeur of the program by performing the folk dance 'Jhumar'. The girls presented a dance based on the theme 'Cultural Diversity' through which the message of unity in diversity was conveyed.

School Director Pawandeep Kaur Gill presented the annual report of achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. On this occasion, the students who achieved various achievements in sports and cultural field were honored by Director Pawandeep Kaur Gill and Principal Inderjit Kaur Sandhu.

At the end of the program, 'Gidhe' performed by the senior secondary class girls and 'Bhangade' performed by the boys brought the program to the top. In the end, the Vice Principal of the school, Indu Dhaliwal, thanked all the guests and the parents of the students for their support for the success of the annual prize distribution event.
