
200 saplings were planted on the occasion of Janmashtami - ASI Avatar Virdi
Nawanshahr - At village Paddi Mathwali, ASI Avatar Lal Virdi along with his elder brother Amarjit Singh Retired Inspector, Sarpanch Surinder Mohan of the village planted about 200 fruit and shade trees in the village and around the village on the holy festival of Janmashtami.

In this regard, ASI Avtar Lal Virdi, while giving information, said that so far they have planted more than 2 thousand saplings. He said that he has also given masks and other financial help to people during Kovid-19. Due to which he has been honored by Punjab Police and Guru Nanak Mission Hospital officials. He said that he is very serious about the increasing heat and the polluted environment and to relieve it, he has been continuously planting saplings for the last three months.
Amarjit Virdi, Gaurav Bawa, Sukhdev Raj Panch, Gogi, Galan and Suman Virdi were also present with him on this occasion.
