It is a matter of great pride to have elected Sarpanch from SC community despite the majority of Jat votes for the last 20 years. As the first woman Sarpanch of SC Baradari, after Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur, wife of Dr. Harbhajan Singh, Sukhwinder Kaur, wife of Sokha Ram, Dr. Harbhajan Singh, son of Sagli Ram, Rajbalwinder Singh, son of Rawal Chand, now Dr. Harbhajan Singh got a chance to become Sarpanch for the second time. In this election, he won the election by a huge margin of 61 votes from his nearest rival Lakhveer Singh Soni. Out of the total 809 votes cast, Lakhveer Singh Soni got 397 votes and Dr. Harbhajan Singh got 458 votes due to his calm and sweet nature and good character. 15 votes were cancelled. Similarly, in the elections of Panchs, Rashpal Singh Pappu defeated Gurmel Singh, Una Rani defeated Jaswinder Kaur, Ajitpal Singh defeated Mohani Kaur, Kuldeep Singh defeated Kamaljit Singh, Gurpal Kaur, Dilpreet Kaur and Nirmal Kaur were unopposed winners.

Former Sarpanch and Numberdar Satnam Singh Khela -: He said that last time in 2017, our winning candidate was deliberately defeated. There was deep anger and resentment in the minds of the people that this time Dr. Harbhajan Singh has got a large number of votes. Sarpanch Dr. Harbhajan Singh is the diamond man of our village.

What did Santokh Singh Khela say -: He said that Dr. Harbhajan Singh is an Amritdhari Gursikh, he is a humane person devoted to Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib. A good person who is friendly and useful to everyone, this time the village has again elected him as Sarpanch. We have great expectations of the development of the village from this new Sarpanch.

What do Block Committee member Balwinder Kaur and Chairman Harnek Singh say -: They said that Harbhajan Singh is an RMP doctor and Gursikh by profession and is also the treasurer of Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, the holy pilgrimage site of Doaba and is also popular among the people. He is very friendly and always helpful.

What does contractor Dilbagh Singh say -: He said that this can only be called the strong bond of the community of our village. That the Jat community also made our people proud by making them Sarpanch twice. Caste discrimination has nothing to do with our village.

What did the new Sarpanch Dr. Harbhajan Singh say -: He said that with the blessings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Sangat has honored me. I will never let that pride break. I will be a true devotee of the Guru's house like before and will consider it my good fortune to come to serve everyone.
