
Krishi Vigyan Kendra launches awareness campaign to use fertilizers as per requirement
Patiala, November 14 - Krishi Vigyan Kendra is organizing awareness camps to inform farmers about the proper use of fertilizers. At the same time, a campaign is also being run for proper management of stubble. Dr. Hardeep Singh Sabikhi, Deputy Director (Training) of KVK, Patiala said that fertilizers should be used in crops only on the basis of soil test.

At the same time, a campaign is also being run for proper management of stubble. Dr. Hardeep Singh Sabikhi, Deputy Director (Training) of KVK, Patiala said that fertilizers should be used in crops only on the basis of soil test.
Continuous camps are being organized to provide information to farmers in this regard and farmers are also being given information about other fertilizers that can be used as an alternative to DAP fertilizer. He said that a campaign is also being run at the school level to create awareness about the damage caused by burning stubble. He said that a seminar was organized at Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Kalyan under the leadership of Principal Ramanjit. Where a rally was organized to create awareness among the students and competitions in speech, essay writing, painting and message writing were also organized.
The spokesperson of the seminar, Dr. Gurupdesh Kaur, Professor (Home Science), gave information about the harm caused by burning stubble and motivated the students to play an important role in this awareness campaign. Dr. Rajni Goyal, Professor (Food Science), KVK, Patiala shared information about the harm caused by junk food with the students. And also told about the importance of processing techniques for value addition of agricultural products.
On this occasion, lecturers Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Baljit Kaur Sidhu and Arpanjot Kaur and all the teachers also gave a message to the students not to burn stubble.
