Patiala, November 15 - Retired Commandant of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Pawan Kumar has said that a lawyer and his accomplice claimed the project of popular social worker SPS Oberoi as their own and bribed them with a sum of Rs 16 lakh.   Addressing a press conference at the Patiala Media Club here, Retired Commandant Pawan Kumar said that after the complaint of cheating was given to the police, a case of fraud and forgery was also registered against the three accused on April 20, 2022 in Sadar Patiala police station, but despite this Challan has not been submitted yet. He said that his posting has been in Delhi and Chhattisgarh. He retired as Principal in Chhattisgarh Training College and Security Commandant of Bhilai Steel. He said that he came to Patiala after retirement. He met Patiala lawyer Tarsem Chand Jindal and Ratnakar Papneja at the blood donation camp of 36 Commando Battalion Bahadurgarh and this meeting turned into friendship.
He said that TC Zindal, while showing him Gold Club and Myji's kitchen in Bahadurgarh, said that commando jawans and officers need money for good facilities and for that they invest their money in this business, then they get it with interest. TC Jindal also showed the papers of partnership with the famous social worker SPS Oberoi which they believed and gave Rs 16 lakh to TC Jindal and Ratnakar Papneja. When they asked for the money back after two months, they refused. He said that when he went to the depth of the matter, he found out that all the money was being spent by social workers SPS Oberoi and these people were only cheating in the name of development of the project.
On the basis of the complaint given to the police, CIA Samana, DSP Special Branch Criminal Intelligence investigated the entire matter and registered a case against Ratnakar Papneja, lawyer Tarsem Chand Jindal and Anurag Papneja in Sadar police station. He said that despite this, the challan has not been presented in the court yet. He said that the Punjab and Haryana Bar Council asked Jindal to appear and when he did not appear, he fined him 15 thousand rupees.
