Balongi, November 7 - The shopkeeper's son was injured in an attack on the owner of a giri paan shop and his son at Dashmesh Market in Balongi. Mr. Ram Giri, the owner of the Giri Pan shop, said that last Sunday at around 10:45 pm, he and his son Deepak were going home after closing the shop, when 5 to 7 boys attacked them, due to which his son was badly injured.

They said that about half an hour before closing the shop, Abhishek aka Ninja stood at the shop and Deepak asked him if he wanted to buy any goods, he refused and said that he was waiting for someone. They said that after some time Abhishek asked Deepak for money, Deepak asked what to do with the money and started saying that he has to drink alcohol, on which Deepak refused to give the money.

They said that this boy lives near their house. When they closed the shop and left, Abhishek came along with his accomplices and attacked them with a rod and stick, during which Deepak's head exploded and he became unconscious. Meanwhile they also fell.

They said that they took their son to the Phase 6 Civil Hospital, where the doctors stitched his head and sent him to the Kharar Civil Hospital. They said that Deepak's left hand is fractured, right thumb is fractured and around 18 stitches are required in his head.

He said that he has no grudge against anyone and crime is continuously increasing in Balongi. He said that chita is being sold here daily and when people's addiction is not complete, on which the drug addicts commit the incidents and if the incidents continue to increase in this manner, then anyone's life can also be lost. They have demanded from the SSP of Mohali that a case of intent to kill should be registered against the accused and sent to jail.

On being contacted in this regard, SHOs of Balongi police station. Parinvikal Singh Grewal said that he has received information from Civil Hospital Kharar and the police officer has been sent to take a statement. He said that after the statement, appropriate legal action will be taken.
