Addressing the district level awareness program organized at the local civil hospital, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain said that ears are a very important part of our body, whose care is very important. She said that good hearing ability is a strength in itself, which is necessary for the health of a person. She said that this time the theme is 'Make yourself strong so that ear care can become a reality for everyone'.
She said that when we ourselves are aware, we will be able to ensure healthy ears and hearing ability. Dr. Jain said that most of the causes of deafness are treatable, so everyone should get their ears checked on time. Many people are becoming victims of deafness due to lack of precautions. He said that the government has started special efforts for the prevention of ear diseases along with other diseases, which should be taken advantage of by the common people.
The Civil Surgeon said that if the ears are examined and treated on time, then ear diseases can be reduced by 50 percent. In this way, prevention of 50 percent of the causes of hearing loss is possible. He said that the problem of deafness can be prevented by creating awareness among people about health. To prevent deafness, one should never put sharp objects in the ears.
Ears should always be protected from loud noise and dirty water should not be allowed to enter the ears. On this occasion, the students of Nursing College also took out an awareness rally. On this occasion, Senior Medical Officer Dr. HS Cheema, Dr. Vijay Bhagat, ENT Department Head Dr. Manish Gupta, Dr. Ashish Goyal, Dr. Himanshu Mittal, Dr. Navjot Kaur and other officers and employees were present.
