
Registration of votes for Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee elections continues
Registration can be done till November 15
Patiala, 22 -Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni said that for Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee elections the Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections, Punjab has started the work of registration of Gurdwara votes under the Sikh Gurdwara Board Election Rules 1959 which will continue till 15 November 2023 and date 05 Initial publications will be made on December 2023.
He said that every Kesadhari Sikh above the age of 21 years who does not cut his beard or hair and follows the rules laid down in the form where he resides, to register his name in the voter list of the respective Gurdwara constituency, form no. . 1 (for Kesadhari Sikhs) can be given to Patwaris in villages and employees appointed by the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate in cities. This form will be verified and confirmed by Aadhaar card issued by the government or from the identity card issued by the Election Commission of India, name of the voter, name of the parent/husband etc. and the number will be written.
He said that in district Patiala there are 07 gurdwara constituencies 52 Samana, 53 Nabha, 54 Bhadson, 55-Dakala, 56 Patiala city, 57 Sanur, 59 Rajpura. Therefore, the general public is requested to submit their form no. 1 should be filled and given in time and by participating in this campaign of voter registration, ensure your participation in this important work of the district administration.
