The district election officer gave information regarding the cursory correction of the photo voter lists

The District Election Officer interacted with the Campus Ambassadors of the district, E.L.C., Voter Awareness Forum members.

Patiala, October 27 – District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni today interacted online with Campus Ambassadors, Electro Literacy Club (ELC) members and other appointed Voter Awareness Forum members of Patiala district.
On this occasion, he said that to strengthen democracy, it is necessary for every youth above 18 years of age to vote. He told the campus ambassadors of schools and colleges of Patiala district that whoever is eligible to vote and if he has not yet cast his vote, he should definitely cast his vote online or offline. He encouraged the campus ambassadors to participate more actively in this campaign.
Sakshi Sahni, while answering the questions of the Campus Ambassadors, said that now the process of making the vote has become very easy and now the voter's identity e-EPIC card can also be made easily. He said that campus ambassadors who actively participated in the awareness campaign would be specially honoured.
On this occasion, while giving information about the cursory rectification program of photo voter lists, he said that from 27 October 2023 to 9 December 2023, claims and objections are to be received from the general public in Form No. 6, 7 and 7. After settling these claims and objections on 8 and 26 December 2023, the final publication of voter lists is to be done on 5 January 2024.
    He said that apart from this, as per the instructions of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, special camps will be organized at all the polling stations on November 4, 2023 (Saturday), November 5, 2023 (Sunday) and December 2, 2023 (Saturday), December 3, 2023 (Sunday). To be held. Where BLOs will sit at their polling stations from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and collect forms 6, 6B, 7, 8 from the general public/applicants.
