
During the Dubai Conference of World Punjabi Sabha Canada, 7 experts from around the world presented leaflets for the expansion of Punjabi language.
Dubai, October 6 - World Punjabi Sabha Canada Under the leadership of Chairman Dr. Dalbir Singh Kathuria , the first two-day World Punjabi Conference was held in Durhiya, Dubai, in which more than 100 Punjabi mother-tongue enthusiasts from all over the world participated.

Chairman of World Punjabi Sabha Dr. Dalbir Singh Kathuria appealed to the experts of every class to come forward to make concerted efforts for the prosperity of Punjabi mother tongue. On this occasion, the speakers said that there is a need to think beyond the concerns about bids. The session on the first day of the program was devoted to pamphlet reading and the second day was devoted to Kavi Durbar, meaningful discussion, drama, Giddha, folk music and question and answer session.
The program was presided over by famous poet Manjit Indira, Dr. Ghazalgo. Gurcharan Kochhar, Sukhi Bath, Sandhu Varyanvi, Mian Asif, Paramjit Kaur Launder and others participated and read their papers.
During the conference Dr. Surjit Singh Sadhar emphasized on intensifying efforts for the expansion of mother tongue. He said that we have to first recognize the importance of language preservation, expansion and importance. Satwinder Singh Dhadak, while reading a pamphlet on the importance of mother tongue in human life, said that the death of regional words is the reason for the extinction of the mother tongue. Advocate Rasheed Ahmed from Lahinde Punjab warned the people of Punjab about the changing form of Punjabi language and expressed concern about less than the prescribed number of attendance at religious places even when the corridor was opened. Kanwaldeep Kaur Patiala, sharing her views on the deterioration of the language, started efforts from home to save the mother tongue and insisted. Similarly, the President of India, Balbir Kaur Raikoti, described words from other languages as a gift in Punjabi's mother tongue. Gurminder Paul Singh Ahluwalia invited all Punjabis to come forward for the expansion of mother tongue. Similarly, Sanjeevan Singh, Baljit Balli, Sandeep Kaur Cheema, Gurpreet Kaur and others insisted on being aware of the mother tongue and increasing linguistic love.
