Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini flagged off 25 trucks of relief material for flood-hit Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

Chandigarh, September 7 - Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini today flagged off 25 trucks of relief material for flood-hit Punjab and Himachal Pradesh from the BJP Sub Office (Panchkamal). Out of these, 15 trucks are for Punjab and 10 trucks are for Haryana.

Earlier, the Chief Minister offered prayers at the Mata Mansa Devi Temple and sought the blessings of the Almighty.
Helping people in times of disaster is our responsibility
While talking to reporters in Panchkamal, the Chief Minister said that today, essential items of daily life are being delivered to the people in the flood-hit areas of Punjab and Himachal through these trucks so that they do not face any difficulty in this time of disaster. He said that the neighboring state of Punjab as well as Himachal Pradesh has also suffered a lot due to the natural disaster. In many places, villages have been affected and along with people, livestock has also been affected. In such a situation, it is our responsibility to help the people.
Along with the Haryana government, the party is also continuously delivering relief materials to the affected areas to provide relief to the people. Trucks of relief materials are being sent from Haryana to the flood-affected areas of Punjab every day. He said that as per the instructions of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri JP Nadda, the government is working with the party to provide relief to the people in the natural disaster, working in the spirit of service and organization.

So far, 1 lakh 69 thousand 738 farmers have registered 9 lakh 96 thousand 701 acres of land on the Shatipurti portal. In response to a question asked regarding Haryana, the Chief Minister said that there has been waterlogging in the low-lying areas of the state. We have set priorities for immediate relief in the areas affected by waterlogging and relief work is going on continuously. The e-Shatipurti portal has been opened to reduce the difficulties of the citizens. Its aim is to make the process of submitting applications for their losses easier by the general public.
He said that so far, 1 lakh 69 thousand 738 farmers have registered 9 lakh 96 thousand 701 acres of land on the Shatipurti portal. The Chief Minister said that there has been loss of life and property due to the roof collapse of some houses during the rains. The state government has provided financial assistance of Rs. 4 lakh each to such families. Apart from this, financial assistance has also been provided to the injured.

Haryana is continuously sending relief material to Punjab
In response to another question, the Chief Minister said that on the day the natural disaster occurred in Punjab, he had written a letter to the Chief Minister of the state of Guankhi, in which he had said that if there is any need for any kind of goods and resources in this situation of disaster, then he should tell him without hesitation. Haryana will provide immediate assistance. Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that Haryana is continuously sending relief material to Punjab. Even today, 15 trucks filled with relief material have been sent to Punjab.

He said that relief materials will be distributed to every affected family of Chamba district through 10 trucks. This includes food items used in daily life like rice, flour, sugar, pulses, tarpaulins, blankets, beds etc.
