Una, August 21- A meeting of Una Traditional Culture Promotion Committee (Una Kala Manch) was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal at the Deputy Commissioner's office Una.
In the meeting, various options for maintenance, income generation and long-term management of Lata Mangeshkar Kala Kendra located at Samurkalan were discussed in detail.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed on considering all possible options including outsourcing for better use and effective operation of the Kala Kendra. For this, he directed the formation of a committee. In this five-member committee, Additional Deputy Commissioner Una, SDM Una, Credit Planning Officer and Executive Engineer of Public Works Department Una will be members, while District Language Officer Una will be the Member Secretary. This committee will study all the options and submit a detailed report with its recommendations to the Deputy Commissioner Una.
The Deputy Commissioner said that Lata Mangeshkar Kala Kendra is an important cultural activity site of Una district. It is the need of the hour to take concrete steps towards making it strong and self-reliant.
District Language Officer Niku Ram and other members of the committee were present in the meeting.
