SAS Nagar, August 4, 2025: The third National Lok Adalat of the year 2025 will be organized on September 13, 2025, across Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali) district, informed District and Sessions Judge Sh. Atul Kasana.
Sharing the details, Sh. Kasana said that dedicated benches for this National Lok Adalat will be set up at District Courts Mohali, as well as Sub-Divisional Courts Kharar and Derabassi, to dispose of cases including Land Acquisition Executions, Complaints in Permanent Lok Adalat, MACT Claim Petitions and Executions, Family Matters in Family Courts, Traffic Challans, FIRs under the Electricity Act, Cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act (Cheque Bounce Cases), Recovery Suits, and Pre-Litigative Cases.
He emphasized that pre-litigative matters can also be taken up in this Lok Adalat, allowing litigants to resolve disputes without filing a formal court case or paying court fees. Additionally, in pending cases where settlements are reached through mutual consent in the Lok Adalat, the entire court fee will be refunded.
Appealing to litigants, Sh. Kasana urged them to make the most of this opportunity to settle their disputes amicably and avoid prolonged litigation. He also called upon the concerned departments and institutions to actively spread awareness among the public about the benefits of the National Lok Adalat and encourage maximum participation.
