Derabassi (SAS Nagar), March 16: As per directions of Sh Deepak Pareek, IPS, SSP SAS Nagar in 'Yudh Nasheya Virudh' campaign, teams of Sub Division Dera Bassi conducted raids for the fourth consecutive day on the houses of drug peddlers based at Drug Hotspot Trivedi Camp, Dera Bassi.
After registering an FIR no. 59 dated 16-03-2025 u/s 21 NDPS Act at Policr Station Dera Bassi with respect to recovery of 20 gm Heroine against drug traffickers; Yusuf Masih s/o Babar, Suraj Kumar s/o Rajesh Sahni, Naresh@Teetar s/o Chaman Lal, all r/o Dheha Basti, Trivedi Camp, Mubarikpur have been arrested.
The relentless drive by Sub Division Dera Bassi Police teams against the drug menace continues to yield/deliver results. Ongoing raids and arrests have forced drug traffickers and smugglers to flee Trivedi Camp in Mubarikpur leaving their Rented apartments abandoned.
SSP Deepak Pareek said that in the last few days, Sub Division Dera Bassi Police have arrested Fifteen (15) drug smugglers/ peddlers and registered nine (09) FIRs against them at various Police Stations of SD Dera Bassi. Total 1 Kg Opium, 47 gm Heroine, 150 Capsules, 13.5 liter Liquor, 80,000/- Drug Money, Two Cars have been recovered, he further added.
Additionally, in coordination with local panchayat several household items were seized as proceeds of drug money under section 27(a) of NDPS Act, added SSP Deepak Pareek.
