Una, July 26- In view of the increasing traffic pressure on Chintpurni road during Navratri fair, the district administration has prepared a special traffic plan. Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal said that one-way traffic system will be implemented in Gagret area after 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday, so that traffic can be kept smooth amidst heavy movement of devotees and tourists.
The Deputy Commissioner said that during Navratri days, about 90 percent of the traffic moves from Punjab towards Chintpurni via Hoshiarpur-Gagret road via Mubarakpur. This traffic remains controlled on normal days, but on weekends, due to the crowd of devotees, a situation of jam arises. This special arrangement is being implemented to solve this problem.

*This will be the traffic arrangement*
Under this arrangement, devotees coming from Punjab will reach Chintpurni via Gagret route as before, while while returning, they will be sent towards Hoshiarpur via Mubarakpur via Jhaleda-Ispur, so that the situation of jam in Manguwal and Chauwal can be avoided. Local vehicles with Himachal Pradesh registration will be exempted from this diversion. This arrangement will be applicable only on Saturday and Sunday after 5 pm so that there is no disruption in traffic or religious activities during the day and there can be relief from the problem of jam in the evening.
The DC said that the purpose of this temporary arrangement is to ensure the convenience of the devotees and to end the problem of jam. For this, indicator boards will be installed on the road and extensive publicity will be done through media. He has appealed to the devotees and the general public to follow the traffic rules and cooperate with the administration.
